Blackhawks' 2-0 Lead Ends in a 5-2 Loss to Colorado — and Patrick Kane Leaves With an Injury
Wyatt Kaiser scored 57 seconds in and Roman Kantserov made it 2-0, but Colorado scored twice in 26 seconds, led by the second intermission, and closed out Chicago's green-jersey debut night 5-2. Kane's upper-body injury, the coach said, will cost him the next couple of games.

The Colorado Avalanche beat the Chicago Blackhawks 5-2 at the United Center on Monday night, erasing a 2-0 first-period deficit to win their third straight game and spoil the debut of Chicago's green Hometown Remix jersey.
Chicago's start was everything the building wanted: Wyatt Kaiser scored 57 seconds into the game on a deflected point shot, and Roman Kantserov buried a Connor Bedard feed off a Nazem Kadri turnover at 7:05 for his team-leading sixth goal. Then Colorado answered twice in 26 seconds — Kadri poking home a loose puck at 15:23 and Jaden Schwartz scoring from the left circle at 15:49 — and the game was tied by the intermission.
Kadri and Schwartz each scored again in the second period to make it 4-2, and Devon Toews added an empty-net goal with 2:22 left. Mackenzie Blackwood stopped 21 of 23 shots, Colorado killed all four of its penalties, and the Avalanche improved to 9-5-1.
The worse news for Chicago came in the second period, when Patrick Kane left with an upper-body injury and did not return. Head coach Jeff Blashill said after the game, as TSN reported, that Kane would miss the next couple of games. Chicago, 1-5-1 in its last seven, opens a three-game road trip at Florida on Wednesday.
