Bears vs Seahawks: Chicago Rules Out Kyle Monangai for Monday Night, T.J. Edwards Returns (Chicago Windy City News)

The Chicago Bears close Week 8 under the Monday night lights, visiting the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field with kickoff set for 7:15 p.m. CT on ESPN. Chicago is 5-2 and looking to improve to 6-2 in the second of three straight prime-time games, according to the final injury-report coverage published Saturday, and Seattle is 4-3.

Chicago will again be without running back Kyle Monangai, who did not practice all week with thumb and toe injuries and was ruled out — his fourth straight missed game. Cornerback Malik Muhammad (toe) and linebacker D’Marco Jackson (ankle) are questionable; Jackson returned to a full practice Saturday after missing Friday’s session.

The rest of the Bears’ report broke Chicago’s way. Linebacker T.J. Edwards practiced fully all week after a hamstring injury and carries no game designation, and neither do linebacker Jack Sanborn nor tight end Colston Loveland, who progressed from limited participation Friday to a full practice Saturday after a neck injury was added to his report.

Seattle’s line is the matchup inside the matchup. The Seahawks traded for All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson this week, while Chicago added defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, and Seattle left tackle Charles Cross is doubtful with an ankle injury. How the reshaped fronts hold up — and whether Caleb Williams, who has thrown for over 300 yards in back-to-back games since returning from a hamstring injury, can keep that run going — frames Monday night.
