Powerball Draws Tonight for an Estimated $793 Million — Two Months After Illinois Won $1.04 Billion
Nobody matched all six numbers on Halloween night, so the jackpot rolled to an estimated $793 million for Monday's 9:59 p.m. Chicago-time drawing. Illinois has already produced the year's biggest Powerball winner — a $1.04 billion ticket sold in Quincy in August.

The Powerball jackpot stands at an estimated $793 million for tonight's drawing, after no ticket matched all six numbers in Saturday's Halloween drawing. Saturday's winning numbers were 2, 4, 18, 50 and 56, with a Powerball of 20 — close enough to keep millions of tickets alive into the evening, but no jackpot winner, so the prize rolled once more. The drawing is held live at 10:59 p.m. Eastern, 9:59 p.m. Chicago time, from the Powerball draw studio in Florida.
Illinois players have a recent reason to pay attention. The current run is the second-largest Powerball jackpot of 2026, Powerball notes, and it is building just two months after a player in Illinois won a $1.04 billion jackpot on August 12 — a ticket sold at a Hy-Vee in Quincy that was claimed in September. That August prize sits eighth on Powerball's all-time list, and at $793 million, tonight's jackpot would enter the same neighborhood if it rolls again.
The practical details have not changed. Tickets cost $2 per play, the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24.9, and the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million, according to Powerball. A winner in a participating U.S. lottery may take the prize as an annuity paid in 30 increasing payments over 29 years, or as a one-time lump-sum payment, both before taxes. Drawings run every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday — so if tonight produces no winner either, the next chance comes Wednesday, with Election Day in between.
