Chicago Weather: Election Day Rain Chances Climb to 72 Percent, and Wednesday Is Now the Week's Wettest Day at 73 Percent
Today stays cool and grey near 57. The week's story is Tuesday and Wednesday: rain chances of 72 and 73 percent, with Election Day itself mild at a high near 68 before the wettest day of the week arrives Wednesday.

Chicago's Sunday is finishing cool and grey. The station's live Open-Meteo feed read late Sunday morning showed 55.8 degrees and overcast, feeling like 54, with the day's high trimmed to 57 and a low near 50 — and only a 23 percent chance of rain, so the rest of Sunday and Monday both look mostly dry for the last day of early voting.
Election Day is a different story. Tuesday's rain chance on the feed has climbed to 72 percent, up from the 64 percent in this morning's files, with a mild high near 68 and a low near 59. Voters heading to the polls between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. should expect showers at some point in the day, even if the whole day does not rain.
Wednesday now carries the week's highest rain chance at 73 percent, with a high near 65. After that the week dries out and cools: Thursday near 59 with a 17 percent chance, Friday near 55, and next Saturday near 59 under a 7 percent chance.
