Wolves Dropped by Griffins 5-1 at Allstate Arena as the Points Streak Ends at Six
Grand Rapids scored in every period and led 4-0 before rookie Charlie Cerrato's first professional goal got Chicago on the board late in a 5-1 loss Sunday in Rosemont. The Wolves fell to 5-5-0-1 and head to Texas on Friday.

The Chicago Wolves saw their six-game points streak come to an end on Sunday, falling to the Grand Rapids Griffins 5-1 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont. The loss also snapped the Wolves' two-game winning streak, in the second of eight scheduled meetings between the Central Division rivals this season, according to the Wolves' official game report.
Grand Rapids built the game period by period: a first-period tally from Chase Stillman, one in the second off the stick of Carter Bear, and markers from Noah Dower Nilsson and Dominik Shine in the third to race to a 4-0 advantage. Chicago's only answer came late in the third, when rookie Charlie Cerrato redirected a Ronan Seeley shot past Griffins netminder Michal Postava for his first goal as a professional; Seeley and Bradly Nadeau recorded the assists. Kienan Draper's empty-netter in the waning moments capped the scoring.
Zach Sawchenko made 28 saves in the loss for Chicago, while Postava stopped 25 for the win. The Wolves dropped to 5-5-0-1 on the season, and Grand Rapids improved to 8-1-1-1. Up next, the Wolves travel to Texas to face the Stars on Friday night at 7 p.m.
