Chicago Weather Evening Update: Election Day Rain Chances Ease to 63 Percent, and Wednesday Is Still the Wettest Day
Sunday closed overcast at 55 degrees. Monday stays mostly dry at 58 for the last day of early voting, Election Day warms to near 68 with rain chances at 63 percent, and Wednesday remains the week's wettest day at 74 percent before cooler, drier air arrives.

Chicago's Sunday is closing the way it spent most of the day — overcast and cool. The station's live Open-Meteo feed read 55.3 degrees on Sunday evening, feeling like 53.1, after a high of 58.7 and a low of 50, with the day's precipitation chance at 23 percent.
Monday, the last day of early voting, stays on the dry side of the pattern: a high of 58.4 and a low of 52, with the rain chance at 9 percent. Election Day then warms up — a high of 67.6 and a low of 58.4 on Tuesday — but it also turns wetter, with the rain chance at 63 percent in the evening feed, eased from the 72 percent carried earlier in the day.
Wednesday is still the wettest day of the week, with a rain chance of 74 percent, a high of 62.6 and a low of 51.7. After that the week cools and dries out: Thursday reaches only 53 with a 17 percent rain chance, Friday 52.1 and Saturday 50.9, both mostly dry — a November pattern settling in behind the election.
