Chicago Weather: A Mild Sunday Near 61, Then Election Day Showers With a High Near 70 (Chicago Windy City News)

Sunday is the pick of the weekend in Chicago. The station's Open-Meteo feed put the city at 51.6 degrees and overcast late Saturday night, on the way to a Sunday high of 60.6 and a low of 50.9, with only a 14 percent chance of precipitation - a mild, mostly dry day for the Hot Chocolate Run, the noon game crowd and the last Sunday of early voting.

Monday stays quiet at 59.7 degrees with a 16 percent rain chance. The change arrives on Election Day. Tuesday now carries showers, a high near 69.5 degrees - the warmest reading in the seven-day outlook - and a 63 percent chance of precipitation, up from the 56 percent chance the feed showed this morning.

Showers linger into Wednesday with a high of 63.8 and another 63 percent rain chance, before cooler air settles in: Thursday reaches only 53.7 degrees and Friday 52.4. Voters heading to the polls Tuesday should plan for rain gear alongside the warmest day of the week.
